It comes around faster and faster each year (if that's even possible), but Christmas is nearly upon us. We may as well make the most of these things as, if the past 2yrs has taught us anything, we never know what's around the corner. The MMC Christmas meal is booked at Sark on the 9th December, so if you want to join us, and you're quick, let us know. We'll be meeting in the Carp's beforehand from 7pm so if you just want to pop in for a quick drink, then feel free.
I'm rocking my 'mo' again this year for Movember to raise awareness of male mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. All these causes are close to our hearts at MMC and we'll aways do what we can to support and raise awareness of them.
What else has happened at MMC this year? Well we enjoyed watching the Euro championships at the Carp's. We raised over £100 for the Carp's defibrillator fund which was well received by Chris the landlord - although we all hope it's never needed. We had an attendance of 13 people at last months pub meet, which was great to see. We don't expect everyone to attend every meet, it's as an when you can, but it's always nice to see the group chatting away and catching-up over a good pint or two.
This year feels like one we just needed to get through, so we'll push on with our promo and events in 2022. A bit later than hoped, but understandable under the circumstances. Anyway, if you're yet to join us then what are you waiting for? Don't put it off any longer and get yourself up to the Carpenter's Arms on the 2nd Thursday of the month and I'll see you there.
