Hi everyone. WOW!! What was that?! It's been a long time since my last post, and a lot has happened in the meantime, but it's finally time to get this show back on the road. Being 46 I've been happy to wait for my jab. Following yesterday's update I called Longfield MC at 11am this morning and was jabbed in the council offices 1.48pm. Quick, easy and (as they say), it was just a small prick!! If you're legible and haven't booked then give them a call or use the online system. It couldn't be easier - I've even booked my 2nd jab!! We're finally a social group which is again allowed to socialise, albeit it groups of 6. The Caver's Arms on Zoom has been good but it's no the same as meeting-up, and having a pint and a chat face to face - 2m apart. Mark lit-up his fire pit last Thursday and despite stinking of smoke for the next few days, it was brilliant catch-up with a few of you again. Without doubt it's been a difficult time for most. Changes in work circumstances, home schooling, endless DIY projects, trying to keep a business afloat, shielding, unable to friends and family, cancelled holidays, etc. etc. or all of the above!! Whatever you've been doing, I think most will agree it's all been a bit crap. As mental challenges go - it' got to be up there. Saying that, I'm feeling positive for the future and I'm confident MMC will be there to help out. 2020 was supposed to be a year of publicity and activity - but there's no reason why 2021 won't take it's place. We already have team MMC in the delayed Mud Run this August and we'll restart the monthly pub meet. What else we do is up to you so send me any ideas. I'll keep the website updated along with the FB group page, etc. If anyone has any questions or needs a chat then feel contact me.
