Challenge anyone?

The 'rule of 6' may have scuppered our 'all-in' monthly pub meets yet again but life must go on. Socialising (safely) is a vital part of keeping us going through these testing times. We all need the opportunity to chat, take our minds off things and just do something different.

With many activities once taken for granted either cancelled or taking place in a much changed environment we're not exactly spoilt for choice of places to get that fix of 'me time'. That time when we're away from day to day life for a short while and have a chance to get a different perspective, think, talk and if necessary act like you're half your age

At MMC we're always looking at things we could be doing and are always open to suggestions. Whilst out cycling in the wind and rain on Sunday (something which was more enjoyable than it sounds) it made me think about personal challenges. We always challenge our kids to do new stuff but when was the last time we took part in something challenging ourselves? Cycling from Land's End to John o'Groats, hiking through Death Valley, climbing Everest. Okay, I might be getting a bit carried away but you get the gist. There is no reason to stop challenging ourselves, we just need a little kick sometimes and more often than not, someone to help organise and share the challenge with.

I'm all for that and ideally would like to make it a feature of MMC going forward so it would be great to hear any ideas.

Stay safe y'all

Ross
