We're lucky to live in such a beautiful part of Essex on the end of the Blackwater Estuary. Our historical maritime town is full of history but not all of it is nautical.

STOW MARIES GREAT WAR AERODROME

The largest known surviving group of RFC buildings on a WWI aerodrome which was not adapted for further military use later in its history.

About 15 mins outside Maldon this is one of the best places to take the kids on a hot summer's day.
